Privacy policy

We understand that your privacy is important to you.  It’s also important to us.  Our Privacy Policy explains how we do everything we can to protect your information and to be clear and transparent about how we use it. It’s the right thing to do!

It's pretty simple, really - in summary:

  • We treat your information with the utmost care and respect that you expect.
  • We will never give your data to a third party for their own marketing purposes and will never use your information for our own marketing without your consent.
  • If you sign up to our waiting list, you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • We will sometimes have to provide your data to external service providers (such as for credit checks or to mailing houses) to allow us to provide our services – we will only do this if we have an agreement in place that protects your data (and where we retain accountability for it).
  • We will sometimes have to share your data overseas, but this will only be with reputable companies where we have an agreement for the security for your data (such as Microsoft, Amazon Web Services or Mailchimp).
  • If you’d like your data deleted, we’ll do this for you (unless we have to retain it for regulatory purposes) – just let us know through our contact details below.

We hold a restricted ADI authorisation granted by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). This authorisation allows us to offer banking services, but is subject to certain restrictions such as a cap on the amount of deposits that we can hold in total. The purpose of the “restricted” status is that we can test our systems and processes before launching as a fully unrestricted bank.

We do not currently meet the full prudential framework and/or requirements, and you should consider this before depositing funds with us. After the completion of our “restricted” phase, we plan to obtain APRA’s approval so that we can publicly launch.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first Australians and Traditional Custodians of the lands where we live, work and bank.  Our corporate head office is in Darug Country. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
